Wallpaper Borders

Borders can greatly enhance a Wallpaper Decoration if applied carefully and skillfully. Since there are so many designs and types of Borders, it's best to choose one that will complement the furniture and walls in your room, and give a touch of class to the entire room décor.

Of the three main types of Wallpaper Borders - Self Adhesive, Pre-pasted and Non-pasted, Self-Adhesive seems to be the most popular one because all you need to do is peel off the plastic covering in the back and put it on the wall. This is extremely useful for people who don't have much time on their hands.

While deciding a Border theme or design for your wall, remember that a great Wallpaper Border decoration does not need to have multiple designs. A simple, yet interestingly designed Border can really enhance a room décor. For example, a simple semi-transparent Wallpaper Border with a light background color can really brighten up rooms with lesser illumination.

Some types of Wallpaper Borders like Grasscloth, Cloth-backed Vinyl and Solid Sheet Vinyl can be expensive. If you have a large room, you'll also have to buy multiple rolls. Some people prefer to use self-designed Borders made from contact paper in order to cut down on costs. This can also be very useful for people who are allergic chemicals used for pastes.

You need to use a lot of creativity while installing Wallpaper Borders. For example, try using multiple Wallpaper Borders and double bordering to give the design a very nice layered effect. Experiment with paints, directions, shapes etc to achieve a unique design for your wall.

Removing Wallpaper Borders can be difficult, especially if the Border had been applied with strong adhesive. It's advisable to use commercial chemical removers instead of using homemade remedies, which might unnecessarily mess up your wall.
